Delightful party and the bounty was enormous. Thank you all for coming and showing your support this year, many people were out and about thank you for all your feedback; and still, manage to feed over 35 dinners. The Santa Lucia role played by Maile Melcher and she lifted all our spirits. The Gløgg, was fabulous made by Mychi Melcher, and helping with the paperwork and name tags at the front check-in was Elena Gordo and Malin Brown, thank you for volunteering. Blake Johnson was this year's MC and the last years MC and the year before that...
The club celebrates nordic traditions. Longest day of the year and shortest day of the year.

Midsummer Festival 2012 was a success! Thanks all of you for coming out and helping the Scandinavian Club of Hawaii celebrate Midsummer! Below is a quick synopsis of the Midsummer Festival 2012 potluck. What a blast! Thank you Blue Stone! The weather was perfect in Lanikai.
Presidents Message: Wow! Another year has already past. Here is a quick look at 2011. One of last years goals (inspired by the board) was to go digital. What a successful year we had; the technology has "ripe" enough to make more human sense out of it.
A BIG Congratulations to the following Volunteers of The Scandinavian Club of Hawaii, Members of the Board of Directors.
Here is the breakdown of The Scandinavian Club of Hawaii, Officers:

The show How The Earth Was Made: Sahara near the end of the show, mentions an interesting bit on how Iceland was made early in geologic times. Very interesting... Did anybody see it?
Dear Scandinavian Club, I will be celebrating Christmas on Oahu and would like to cook a traditional Danish meal for my family. Is there anywhere on Oahu where it is possible to get a pork roast with the rind on? Grateful for any help you can give! Thanks, Lasse
What a nice festive evening we had. I would especialy like to thank our Members who are just amazing. I'm still looking for nice photos if you have any to share. Upload them via email. Again, the Board of Directors to be so organized it only took a meeting of envitation stuffing and the mailout was on it's way. Thank you for volenteering your time. Thank you all for coming out and celebrating together.
My Mother told me a story about "Fastelaun" not long ago. It was held the same day of The Chinese New Year. It went something like this:
